How it works

How Camprest works

The problem
01

The problem

You have finally got off the hard ground, but your head still ends up on a rolled-up jumper. The pillow from home is bulky and comes out of the canopy damp. You want the whole lie-back sorted in one go, so bedtime at camp feels a bit more like bedtime at home.

How it works
02

How it works

Hang the hammock between two trees, blow up the pillow and pop it in, then climb in and pull the mesh net canopy over. In the morning, let the air out and pack both away.

Getting started
03

Getting started

You start with a lazy afternoon swing with your head propped up, then stay put under the net once the light goes. Every night out has a proper place to rest. Take it on your next trip, and if it is not for you, our 30-day money-back guarantee has you covered.

Why Camprest, not a camping tent

The BugShield Camping Hammock hangs between two trees, so you lie back off the ground under a net.

Questions

Asked before you buy

How does the bug net work on this hammock?

A fine mesh net is attached along the upper edge of the hammock and sits over you like a canopy. You climb in, settle the net over the top and lie back. It lets you listen to the bush at dusk instead of swatting at mozzies every thirty seconds.

How do I hang it between two trees?

There are straps and carabiners at each end. Wrap a strap around each of two sturdy trees, clip the carabiners on, and check it hangs in a gentle curve before you climb in. Once you have done it once or twice, it is quick to get up at the campsite.

Who is this hammock suited to?

It suits campers who would rather be off the ground than lying in a tent. It also suits anyone who wants a quick setup so they can sit back with a cold one while there is still light. It is a good pick if you want your own spot to rest at camp while the rest of the family settles in.

What comes with the hammock?

You get the hammock with its mesh net canopy, two tree straps, two carabiners, two cords and a stuff sack to pack it all into.

Why pick a hammock over a tent?

You hang it between two trees, so you do not need flat ground. You lie up off damp, uneven ground with the net over you to keep the bugs off.

How do I pack it up?

Unclip the carabiners, take the straps off the trees and pack it all into the stuff sack. It is light to carry, so it goes in your pack or the ute without fuss.
